| NES School Readiness Kits Texas School Ready and Early Start Frequently Asked Questions |

| Question 1: Is NES a sole-source provider of the School Readiness Kit? A: Technically there can be no sole-source provider of this kit if it can be replaced by any other like-kit. However, NES does have sole-source components within the kit to make it unique from any other system offered. Any company claiming Sole-Source options are simply saying they have sole-source components but they are not explaining that their kit can be replaced by any of the four other companies. It is up to the purchasing agent/district to determine which kit is best for it's students. Q2: Is NES endorsed by CIRCLE/CLI? A: NES has been granted the 2011 bid for providing School Readiness kits as per CLI. Orders for these kits are placed through CLI and shipped from N.E.S. directly to the sites, or as requested by CLI. Q14: Does the Magic of Learning Kit contain "exactly" what is on the TEA suggested list of materials? A: Yes, if you request. The original kits NES created some five years ago match the "exact" components of the TEA suggested list. This year, NES enhanced and revised to improve the kit with better quality and more components for the same price. If the district is "required" to receive "exactly" what TEA suggests, then NES will gladly make the necessary exchanges from the new kit to give the district the list as it is written. There is very little to exchange between the old version and the new one as NES included most everything plus more from the original version. At the request of existing users of the Readiness kit, NES made the new revisions-however, we will help the district with any compliance requests. To see a full list-please click the tab "TEA Suggested List" on this website. |
